Undoubtedly, solvent extraction is of major commercial importance to the metallurgical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical, biochemical, nuclear energy, catalysis, polymer and material industries, as it is considered the most efficient method of separation of valuable products from complex solid or liquid-feed phases.
